For two years, the M28 association has been working to help Montpellier-Sète and their partners win the title of European Capital of Culture. Its dynamic has given substance to a concept of territory, shared by its stakeholders, who have decided not only to maintain its achievements but to pursue it.

‘M28 – Terres de culture’ now sees itself as a “soul supplement”, in the etymological sense of the word – that which animates, that which gives breath – an approach that is not content with simply interweaving administrative machinery, but builds an organic link between the players in the region.

M28 – Terres de culture decompartmentalises culture to make it an instrument of resilience in a living area, a continuum of experiences and a community of destinies in the face of contemporary climate, social and economic challenges.

Today, M28- Terres de culture is embarking on a new phase in the territory’s dynamic to promote culture, with the establishment of a governance structure tailored to the challenges ahead and new missions.

Its Board of Directors represents the driving forces behind M28: local and regional authorities, associate members from the economic, educational and cultural sectors, as well as qualified personalities who enrich its actions.
